Biography

SUNDAR KUMAR SHARMA, a Sustainable Environment and Food Systems Researcher, is originally from the Himalayas of Nepal. Sundar has travelled to various destinations for more than two decades and brought diversified knowledge systems into practice by experiencing with diversified communities that are engaged in sustainable and just food systems. He has experienced with (and learned from) local communities in South and East Asia, Europe and Australia along with intensive life learning from the ancient and traditional cultural practices of local communities around the Himalayas of Nepal. Currently, he is exploring on the values of human institutions, local knowledge systems and food cultures in shaping pathways of just and responsible post-development discourses. Sundar’s Organic Development Movements and Life Course Programming are based on his life experiences. Mr. Sharma has intensively engaged himself in exchanging knowledge and life experiences with international communities through academic and scientific conferences, ecological and organic movements, product exhibitions and innovation workshops. He is published in international journals and his articles are featured in international media too. SUNDAR NEPAL CREATION (SNC), an initiative for an advancement of human institutions and human cultures, was founded by Sundar in 2023/24. As a Founder President, Sundar is leading SNC research network towards post development discourse. Sundar is currently active in connecting scientific communities around the globe to augment the advances in Sciences and humanities.
