Biography
Dr. Dipendu Pramanik is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari", University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. He obtained his PhD degree in Applied Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India. Also, he obtained his Master's degree in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, India. His expertise lies in Applied Mathematics, particularly in the realm of applied differential equations. Currently, his research delves into the intricate field of mathematical modelling for seismic surface wave propagation in layered mediums. He explore seismic wave behaviour within Earth-like structures, taking into account factors such as local/non-local elasticity, homogeneous/non-homogeneous layers, and isotropic/anisotropic mediums. To achieve this, he draw upon the knowledge of elasticity, viscoelasticity, poro-elasticity, and the fundamental principles of seismic wave behaviour, weaving them into precise mathematical models that capture these complex physical phenomena. Dr. Dipendu has published 10 peer-reviewed research articles in the highly reputed journals.
