Biography
Lecturer Dr. Koray ÇANKAYA graduated from the Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Eastern Mediterranean University in 2002. In 2008, he earned a master's degree from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Cinema-TV Department at Dokuz Eylül University. In 2019, he received the title of doctor from Ege University, Graduate School of Social Sciences, Department of Radio-Television and Cinema with his thesis titled "The Representation of Consumption Ideologies in Turkish TV Series After 2000." Between 2013 and 2017, he worked as a specialized instructor at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Muğla Vocational School, Department of Audio-Visual Techniques and Media Production, and the Rectorate's Press and Public Relations unit. Since 2017, he has been working as a lecturer at Pamukkale University, Denizli Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Department of Audio-Visual Techniques and Media Production, and the Faculty of Communication, Department of New Media. In addition to contributing as a chapter author to various books, such as The Loss of Meaning from the Symbolic to Art: The Digital Era (2021), In the Stage of Societal Stagnation: Media, Consumption, and Simulation (2022), he has also edited books titled Media Consumption I (2021) and Media Consumption II (2022).
