Dr. Aleksandar Savić

Biography

Aleksandar Savić was born on July 22, 1993 in Leskovac, Republic of Serbia. He completed primary school and secondary technical school (economic technician) in his hometown of Vlasotince, as a holder of Vuk's diploma. In the 2012/2013 academic year, he enrolled in the Faculty of the Military Academy of the University of Defence in Belgrade, majoring in Defence Logistics, Finance module. He passed all exams stipulated in the curriculum and program with an average grade of 8.93. He graduated in 2016, with the topic "Ownership Structure, Organization and Management Bodies of the Central Bank", with a grade of 10. During his studies, he was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia. He enrolled in the 2016/2017 academic year for his Master's degree at the Military Academy of the University of Defence in Belgrade, majoring in Public Finance. He passed all exams stipulated in the curriculum and program with an average grade of 9.29. He successfully defended his master's thesis entitled "Effects of Internal Financial Control in the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces" in 2018, with a grade of 10. He enrolled in doctoral studies in the academic year 2017/2018 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, majoring in Accounting. He passed all exams stipulated in the curriculum and program with an average grade of 9.27. He successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "The Impact of Reporting on Non-Financial Performance in the Sustainable Development Report on the Profitability of Energy Sector Companies in Europe and the Republic of Serbia" on 09.01.2024. After graduating from the Military Academy, in 2016 he was promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant of the Financial Service and assigned to the 31st Infantry Battalion in Zaječar, as the Chief of the Finance Group until 2020. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant of the Financial Service in 2019, and to the rank of Captain of the Financial Service in 2022. From 2020 to February 2023, he served as a Finance Officer in the Finance Department of the Military Technical Institute of the Ministry of Defense in Belgrade. From February 2023, he was appointed as a Public Procurement Officer in the Department of Economic and Legal Affairs of the Military Technical Institute of the Ministry of Defense. From April 5, 2021 to April 5, 2024, he was engaged at the Military Academy of the University of Defense as an assistant professor in the narrow scientific field of Economic Theory and Policy in the subjects (Microeconomics, Fundamentals of Economics and Financial Reporting of Budget Users) under a contract for supplementary work. From October 21, 2024, he was engaged at the Military Academy of the University of Defense as an assistant professor in the narrow scientific field of Economic Theory and Policy in the subjects (Microeconomics, Fundamentals of Economics and Financial Reporting of Budget Users). He is the author and co-author of a large number of scientific papers published in leading international and national journals and proceedings of scientific conferences.
