Riyam Chaar

Biography

I am a holder of a master’s degree in educational management and leadership and have a bachelor’s degree in English literature and language. I am currently working on my PhD dissertation at International Black Sea University, Georgia. I have a license to identify gifted students EPoC from ICIE, Germany, and another on the school wide enrichment program Connecticut University to program for the gifted students’ needs. I have taken several workshops on educational strategies. I have had a vast experience in the field of education for the past 20 years. Currently, I hold the position of an “Academic Controller “at Global Academy International, Thumama Branch. This post entitles me to work on the school accreditation, train teachers, set policies, monitor implementation, revise efficiency of practices and reform to maintain quality as I connect with various stakeholders and work on attaining community partnerships. I am also the author of “Your Guide to Writing,” a series of 8 books ranging for grade 1 up to grade 8 that would upgrade students’ skills and move them from writing sentences to paragraphs then essays smoothly. This series has been used as a writing curriculum for many schools in Doha as well as schools in the GCC countries. The series aims at preparing students to take the writing essay tasks in the IELTS standardized exam without difficulty. Aside from that I have been training teachers on pedagogies and methodologies, as well as presenting in several local and international conferences. In brief, I am a task-oriented person who is passionate in proceeding toward end results. I am organized, punctual, and eager to produce quality work.
