Vitor Santos

Biography

Agronomic Engineer graduated from the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS), Feira de Santana campus. Master’s degree holder and doctoral candidate in the Graduate Program in Plant Genetic Resources (PPGRGV/UEFS). He was a Scientific Initiation scholarship holder from CNPq between 2020 and 2021, during which he developed a research project focused on investigating the roles of environmental factors and functional traits in the phenology of Hancornia speciosa Mart. (mangabeira). Between 2021 and 2023, with a scholarship from FAPESB, he conducted studies related to germplasm bank monitoring and the multiplication of accessions of Stylosanthes spp., as well as evaluating seed germination of different accessions of this genus under water restriction conditions. He was also an extension scholarship holder through PIBEX/UEFS (2018-2020), working on projects aimed at developing phenological calendars of native tree species from the municipality of Lençóis (BA), as well as studying seed germination and seedling production of these species. During his undergraduate studies, he was part of ConsultagroJr, the agronomy junior enterprise at UEFS, where he served as branding manager and marketing director.
