Biography
I’m a PhD student in Urban Forestry at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My research focuses on the use of GIS and remote sensing to study climate change, urban sustainability, and food security. I’ve worked on projects involving agricultural productivity mapping, forest carbon assessment, and urban soil health analysis using satellite data and spatial modeling. As a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, I also mentor students and assist with courses that apply geospatial tools to environmental management. My broader goal is to use Earth observation science to support sustainable land use and promote environmental justice.
