Biography
Dr. Soumyabrata Mondal is a researcher in Geography with expertise in poverty analysis, multidimensional deprivation, livelihood risk, sustainable rural development, and gender studies. He holds a Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, where his doctoral work examined the interrelationship between rural transformation, livelihood risks, and poverty in West Bengal. His research interests span multidimensional poverty, sustainable livelihoods, women’s empowerment, and GIS-based socio-economic studies. He is deeply committed to interdisciplinary, policy-oriented research that supports inclusive development and data-driven decision-making.
