Biography

He received his PhD in Anthropology from the University of Florida. His research interests span to three fields: China studies, Latin America and sociology/anthropology of knowledge. For China studies, he focus on Chines religions (esp. Islam), ethnicity, inequality, sports (martial arts), and education by receiving his training in history, sociology and anthropology. For Latin American studies, he extends his interests on overseas Chinese, Chinese investment, ecological cosmology and environmental protection, NOGs, etc. For sociology and/or anthropology of knowledge, he has devoted in epistemological perspective of knowledge production and classification.
