Biography

Dr. Jiyoon Yoon holds the position of Associate Professor of Science Education at the University of Texas at Arlington. She earned her Ph.D. from Indiana University in Bloomington, with a major in Science Education and Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Yoon boasts a substantial background in science methods research and instructional technology projects, both for pre-service and in-service science educators. Furthermore, she has successfully initiated and overseen international programs designed to facilitate the exchange of teaching methods and cultural experiences between the United States and Korea. Dr. Yoon is actively engaged in teaching science education methodology and research courses, and she is currently involved in nationally and internationally funded research endeavors. Her primary research focus revolves around the establishment of enriching science teaching and learning environments through the integration of cultures and the utilization of technology within a global context.
