Biography
Dr. Salwa A. Bedrech is a professor Doctor working in the Viticulture Research Department, my duty to improve the complex interaction between vineyards, their environment and soil types, by conducting research that links climate variables and viticulture practices - to enhance grape quality, productivity and vineyard sustainability. My expertise may include areas such as vine physiology, exploring the effects of topography on grape phenology, or focus on innovative viticulture techniques that mitigate the effects of climate change. I can also participate in the development of new grape varieties through genetic research, with the aim of creating vines that are more resistant to diseases and pests while maintaining the unique characteristics that define regional varieties.
