Dr. Iliyas Sayyed

Biography

Dr. Sayyed Iliyas is Associate Professor, Department of Botany, AKI’S Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Camp., Pune. After obtaining his M.Sc. with Gold Medal from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, with specialization in plant physiology, he subsequently received Ph.D. from the same University. His area of research is plant physiology, leaf protein, silage, enzyme biotechnology and bioinformatics. He has participated in more than 90 National and International conferences in India. He has presented more than 70 research papers at various conferences, seminars and symposia. He is a recognized research guide for M.Phil and Ph.D. of Savitribai Phule Pune University. He has guided 6 M.Phil and 4 students are currently working for Ph.D. Published 30 research papers in national and international journals in the field of plant physiology, enzyme biotechnology, food biotechnology, fermentation technology, microbial biotechnology, biochemistry and bioinformatics. He worked as Member Sub Committee, Board of Studies in Botany, SPPU. He was appointed as observer for NEET examination by CBSE, New Delhi. He is fellow of American Biographical Institute (FABI), North Carolina, USA. Member, Research Board of Advisor, ABI, USA and President of International Association of Science Impact, Pune. He is life member of many national and international bodies and associations. He has completed 2 research projects sanctioned by UGC WRO and BCUD, UOP, Pune. He has published 55 videos/ documentary/e-contents on YouTube channel. He has authored 21 books. His VIDWAN score in 9.7 by INFLIBNET. He worked as Academic and Research Coordinator (ARC) and Vice Chairman of Nature and Adventure Club of the college. He is working as Agro-Consultant of P2P Pvt. Ltd. Pune. He worked as Director, International Association of Science Impact, Pune. He is a recipient of Late Yamunabai Balvantrao Deshpande Award for merit first in M.Sc. Botany from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He is a recipient of Best Organizing Teacher Silver Medal from Jim Corbett, Nainital. He is a recipient of the Excellence in Research Award 2021. He is also a recipient of Paryavaran Dronacharya Award from Indian Centre for Wildlife and Environmental Studies in South Asia Region.
