Biography

Dr. UMAIR MEHMOOD (Researcher, Plant Pathologist and Agricultural Scientist) Dr. UMAIR is a dedicated plant pathologist with a PhD from PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, specializing in the mapping and management of bacterial wilt of cucumber in Pothwar, Pakistan. Their research focuses on disease identification, pathogen characterization, and sustainable management strategies to improve crop health and productivity. With over 2-3 years of research experience, Dr. UMAIR MEHMOOD has actively contributed to plant pathology, disease diagnostics, and integrated disease management. They previously worked as a research associate in an ALP-funded project at the University of Poonch Rawalakot, where they gained expertise in pathogen isolation, molecular identification, and disease surveillance. Dr.UMAIR MEHMOOD has a strong background in crop monitoring, plant health management, and agricultural extension. They are currently seeking research opportunities where they can apply their expertise to study plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses and develop sustainable disease management solutions. They have presented their research at academic conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and collaborated with agricultural professionals to promote sustainable farming practices.
