Hyo Joon Chang

Biography

Hyo Joon Chang is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at California State University Dominguez Hills. His research focuses on international human rights, international law and organization, economic interdependence, US-China relations, international relations in East Asia, and Geographic Information Systems. He is the author of “Economic Interdependence and Conflict” in the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Empirical International Relations Theory (with Scott L. Kastner, University of Maryland). His current research explores states’ commitment to and compliance with international human rights treaties using a variety of statistical and case study methods. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Maryland College Park.
