Biography
I studied for my first degree at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology where I emerged one of the bests in my class, narrowly missing the First Class Honours mark with a CGPA of 4.39! I won the Griffins-Environmenta prize for Biotechnology in 2003. I then went on to later gain my Master of Science (M.Sc) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degrees in Ecotourism and Wildlife Management, Tourism, Biodiversity Management and Biometrics from the University of Ibadan; Nigeria’s foremost and Premier University, in 2012, and 2016, respectively. I hold a PGDE, and I am a registered teacher with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) since 2007. I am currently recognized as a module leader for ‘Tourism, Biodiversity Management, Biostatistics and Ecotourism Management’. My teaching and research experience spans almost two (2) decades, cutting-across primary, secondary, as well as tertiary institutions, respectively. I am an expert in studying changes in environmental parameters, anthropogenic and other biotic factors. My research interests include application of ecological theories to Tourism development, and sequencing applications to identify changes in forest communities’ flora and fauna composition and activities for ecotourism development. I joined the services of Lead City University, Ibadan, Nigeria, and rose through the ranks to become a Senior Lecturer. I had previously worked as a Visiting Researcher with World Academy of Science, Trieste, Italy, after which I worked as a Remote Researcher with the University of Antwerp, Belgium, before I joined the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management, Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo state Nigeria as a Visiting Senior Lecturer. I later on joined the Faculty of Social Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management. I have collaborated actively with academics nationally and internationally, as well as local industrial partners. I have published more than sixty (60) research articles in peer reviewed journals of international quality with profound visibility on research metrics such as the Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Orcid and so on. I am an active member of several Ecological Societies around the globe. I am a recipient of the Pro-chancellor Prize for effective teaching from Lead City, Ibadan, Nigeria, in 2017, as well as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Vestnik Biodiversity Research Institute, Krasnoyarsk District, Russia. Currently, I work as a Lecturer and Academic Consultant in the United Kingdom.
