Aqsa Yaqoob

Biography

Aqsa Yaqoob is a highly skilled mental health professional with a focus on clinical psychology, research supervision, and education. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at the University of Karachi. Aqsa has significant experience in clinical practice, having worked as a Clinical Psychologist and Freelance Clinical Psychologist at various institutions, including Rufayda - Care for Healthcare and the International Community of Humanistic Medicine. She has also served as a Research Supervisor at SZABIST and a Research Assistant at the Institute of Business Administration. Her expertise extends to data analysis using SPSS and SmartPLS, and she is deeply involved in research on mental health, addiction, and psychological well-being. Aqsa's academic background includes an MPhil in Clinical Psychology and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Karachi. She has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications on topics like smartphone addiction, emotional dysregulation, cognitive dynamics, and the intersection of personality traits and well-being. Aqsa has also worked as the Managing Editor of the Asian Journal of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and contributed to various research projects related to healthcare and medical innovations. In addition to her professional work, Aqsa has conducted workshops on stress management and psychological assessment and has received awards for her contributions to psychology education. She holds certifications in data analysis, psychological research, and mindfulness, further enhancing her professional development. Aqsa is fluent in English and Urdu and has a passion for advancing gender equality in the field of psychology through her ongoing qualitative study exploring the experiences of female psychologists.
