Biography

Currently , I am working Heavy Water Plant, Tuticorin and involved in peaceful uses of atomic energy like heavy water preparation and Rare minerals extraction from phosphoric acid. I have worked in Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research(IGCAR), kalpakkam, India from Oct’1997 to Dec’ 2017. In IGCAR, after completion of one year training program in Nuclear Technology, I have involved in reprocessing of Irradiated thorium rods to recover valuable fissile material 233U. Then, I have participated in reprocessing of fast reactor spent fuel released from Fast Breeder Test Reactor, Kalpakkam. One year rigorous coursework conducted by IGCAR(Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research) training school was attended and completed Ph.D at April 2014. My research area was in the fields of solvent extraction chemistry of metals, actinide complexation with various complexants, organic synthesis , crystalisation techniques of organic and inorganic compounds etc. Experienced in various nuclear counting techniques like gamma spectrometry using HPGe, alpha spectrometry, gross alpha, beta and gamma counters etc. Handled instruments like UV-Vis spectrophotometer, Gas chromatograpy, FTIR, potentiometer, etc. of chemical laboratory.
