Biography
Zaliza Md Yasin is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Educational Management, Planning, and Policy, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Malaysia. With more than twenty-three years of experience in the Malaysian education system, her scholarly interests focus on educational leadership, instructional leadership, teacher professional development, curriculum management, and middle leadership in primary schools. Her current doctoral research examines the development of a local leadership model for Heads of Panels (HoPs) in Malaysian primary schools through the application of the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM), integrating expert consensus to establish leadership competencies that are contextually relevant and empirically validated. Zaliza has published widely in both local and international journals, including the Future Horizon International Journal of Social Sciences and Educational Research and the Journal of Social Research and Behavioral Sciences. Her recent works, such as Transforming Head of Panel Leadership in Malaysian Primary Schools: Strategies and Implications for Educational Effectiveness and A Comprehensive Review of Research on Head of Panel Leadership in Malaysian Primary Schools, highlight her contribution to advancing knowledge on the leadership practices of middle leaders and their impact on educational excellence. Her forthcoming publications include a Springer book chapter, Local Leadership Model of Primary School Head of Panels: An Analysis Based on the Fuzzy Delphi Method, which was presented at an international conference in Germany. Her research continues to contribute to strengthening leadership capacity and promoting sustainable school improvement within the Malaysian education landscape.
