Biography
Hadas Zahavi is a Fulbright postdoctoral fellow at the Department of French and Italian (FIT) at Princeton University. She first interrogated the research question ‘How can we bear witness to a war in which we are not present?’ in her PhD (2018–2023) through contemporary literature on WWI, in two academic books she is currently writing and in two of her recent articles: Michelin guide to the battlefield of WWI: Witnessing the Destruction of War published in the Oxford French-Studies Journal and Toward a literary genre of ‘neither peace nor war’ published in the European Journal of Life Writing.
