Biography
Steven Hakansson is a special education teacher and a PhD candidate at the University of Washington. His scholarly work focuses on multitiered systems of support (MTSS) and inclusive service delivery for students with extensive support needs. He currently teaches in a self-contained elementary setting and brings a practitioner-scholar perspective to research examining the integration of intensive (Tier 3) interventions within general education classrooms to promote access, belonging, and meaningful participation.
