Biography
Dr. Gudepu Renuka is an accomplished academician and researcher, presently serving as Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Pingle Government College for Women (A), Hanumakonda. With 28 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, she has made significant contributions to the field of Microbiology and allied sciences. She earned her Ph.D. from Kakatiya University (2007) for her research on the role of AM fungi in enhancing the productivity of Acacia melanoxylon. Her areas of specialization include Immunology, Environmental Microbiology, Microbial Technology, and Molecular Biology, with expertise in advanced laboratory techniques such as PCR, HPLC, and Fluorescent Microscopy. Dr. Renuka has published 40 research papers, authored 9 books, holds 4 patents, and has been actively involved in academic leadership as an Editorial Board Member, BOS Member, and President of the Microbiology Society India (Telangana State Unit). She has organized and chaired numerous seminars, workshops, and FDPs, and has been a resource person in 15 academic events. A passionate mentor, she has guided 21+ UG and PG student projects, winning distinctions such as the JIGNASA 2021 First Prize for Microbial Fuel Cells. Her collaborative work with research institutions, pharmaceutical colleges, and community organizations reflects her commitment to both academic excellence and societal development.
