Biography
Dr. Isagani Mirador Tano is an experienced academician and administrator with wide experience in the field of computer science and educational leadership. Currently, he is the Dean of the College of Computer Studies at Quezon City University. He holds the rank and designation of Associate Professor I. Before Quezon City University, he was the OIC Director of the BSIT Department of Quezon City Polytechnic University. He graduated with his Doctor in Information Technology (DIT) in 2017 from AMA Computer University and his Doctor of Philosophy in Education, majoring in Educational Leadership and Management (PhD-ELM) in 2022 at La Consolacion University Philippines. He also completed a Master of Science in Information Technology from Rizal Technological University, and currently, he is taking up his Master of Science in Computer Science at AMA University. Dr. Tano has been in academia for nearly 15 years, and he is the epitome of quality education and leadership. He is a Certified Trainer and an Accredited Competency Assessor in numerous technological and vocational courses acknowledged by TESDA. His research work is notable in outcomes-based education and academic support systems that employ sophisticated technologies. More recently, he has built a sentiment analysis system for assessing LMS content as well as predictive modeling for faculty research productivity. Areas of Interest: Corporate and Organizational Learning: Dr. Tano is keenly interested in the building and execution of corporate learning strategies that enrich employees' skills and organizational performance. He has been at the forefront of the development of systemic plans for professional development and has partnered with faculty to turn them into 'scholar-practitioners.' E-Learning: Dr. Tano is a technology-enhanced teaching enthusiast and contributed to developing and popularizing e-platform and the learning methodology associated with it. He developed and assessed electronic library systems and even conducted seminar sessions on various e-learning topics such as mobile app development, and interactive web technologies. Continuous Professional Development: Dr. Tano believes that professional growth is a critical aspect and always takes part in seminars and workshops. He has research interests in educational leadership, data-driven instructional strategies, and integrating innovative technologies in teaching and learning. Dr. Tano provides the IJAC editorial team with a vast reserve of experience across all these areas and is very proactive.
