Dr. Saibu Sakibu Olajide

Biography

Dr. Sakibu Olajide Saibu is a seasoned Lecturer in Integrated Science Education at Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Lagos, Nigeria. Born on April 11, 1977, in Folu Town, Lagos, he holds a B.Sc.Ed in Chemistry, M.Ed, and Ph.D. in Science Education from Lagos State University, as well as an NCE in Biology/Chemistry. He has also earned various diplomas in computer studies, international human resource, public speaking, and digital communication. With over a decade of experience in academia, Dr. Saibu has taught at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education and Ekiti State University. He has published over 60 scholarly works and participated in several TETFund-sponsored research projects. His research interests span science education, curriculum development, entrepreneurship in science teaching, and educational statistics. He is skilled in SPSS, Excel, and AMOS for data analysis. Dr. Saibu has held several administrative roles, including Acting Coordinator of the Integrated Science Department and Member of NUC Accreditation Committee. He is affiliated with professional bodies such as TRCN, STAN, SEAN, APSA, and NCF. Outside academia, he is active in community service and enjoys mentoring, travelling, and humanitarian work. He is married and has one child.
