Biography

I graduated as a primary school teacher in 2013. I have served as a short-term intern teacher in a private educational institution providing English education. I have experience teaching as an intern teacher in primary schools and kindergartens in Turkey, and as part of my master's and doctoral studies, I have experience performing valuable observations and investigations about my field in primary schools in Turkey and Lithuania. Since 2018, I have been teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels in the Department of Primary Education/Classroom Teacher Education. I have the status of a permanent associate within the scope of a Higher Education Institution in Turkey. I completed my doctorate at Gazi University, which has a reputation in teacher education and child development. I have worked as a Classroom Teacher Education team member in the Department of Primary Education with academic and administrative colleagues, co-designing modules, moderating marking, arranging student groups, and preparing for placement for eleven years. In addition, I have organized public education days on various subjects within the scope of community service activities. I conducted seminars for school administrators on children's rights and pedagogy. I took part in the curriculum development studies of public education centers in collaboration with local governments. My research interests include children’s rights, human rights education, childhood sociology, pedagogy, childhood, digital media risks on children, curriculum, teacher education, digital teaching and learning, and digital education platforms. Generally, my articles are mainly related to the following themes: children's rights, human rights education, teacher training, digital media studies, childhood, multidisciplinary child, and educational research. I have both single-author and co-author works in high-quality journals. I have experience applying quantitative and mixed research methods in some of my research. However, as can be seen from my research, my expertise is mainly based on qualitative research methods. In my doctoral research, for instance, I have experienced the action research method. In the future, I aim to further deepen my expertise in qualitative methods as well as improve my quantitative methodology capabilities, especially for large-scale research projects. I have co-authored works in high-quality journals. To date, three of my projects, with the design rights of which belong to me, have been deemed worthy of support by Turkey's most respected and official scientific-technological research council. I am now collaborating with academics from the Research on Children's Rights in Education (EERA) for works of the Children’s Human Rights Education Research Network (CHRE). Also, I am a researcher member in international reputable research network groups such as the Global Childhood Research Group at the University of Nottingham.
