Biography
I used to work in the forestry bureau of the county of Hangzhou, Zhejiang from 1985 and then worked in the urban area of Hangzhou from 2003. I have been transferrd to do scientific researches in the aspects of pecans, forest protection and climate change in Zhejiang Academy of Forestry since November 2006. We have published 8 SCI papers and 33 Chinese papers. For examples, “A Novel in Vitro Germination Method Revealed the Influence of Environmental Variance on the Pecan Pollen Viability”;“Delaying the Decline of Germination Ability of Pecan Pollen by Yeast Pichia Fermentans 15B1”; “A Novel Sunshine Duration-based Photothermal Time Model Interprets the Photosensitivity of Flower Maturity of Pecan Cultivars”;“Biomass Expansion Factor of Chinese Fir Forest in Zhejiang Province Based on LULUCF Greenhouse Gas”. I owned 1 U.S. invention patent, 29 Chinese invention patents. Besides, I was awarded "Quarterly Franklin Membership" (Membership ID#LL83445) by the London Journals press (UK), in May 2019. In the early 20th century, missionaries brought pecans to China, over the past 12 decades, the quantity of pecan nuts in China is unstable and the quality is quite low. However, our team has found that appropriate cultivar combinations must be set to overlap the peak periods of stigmatic receptivity and pollen release. We also found the Hypoxylon sp. Sj18 from the root of pecan, which could be applied to kill the pinewood nematode (PWN) by changing PWN-associated bacteria. For instance, PWN-associated Serratia was an important vector strain for killing PWN.
