Biography
Femi Rufus TINUOLA holds B.Sc Sociology, M.Sc Medical Sociology and PhD Sociology (Population Health) Degrees from the then Ondo State University and University of Ado Ekiti, Nigeria respectively with additional training under the World Health Organisation’s Tropical Disease (TDR) in Ethics and Codes in Research in Public Health. With special interest in sexual and Reproductive Health Behaviour, Tinuola, a member of Institute of Chartered Administrators, is currently Professor of Sociology with specialization in Population & Health Studies at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State Nigeria where he teaches and research in Population Studies, Health and Illness Behaviour, Social Epidemiology, Sexual & Reproductive Health Behavior, Social Research Methods and Social Statistics I am a scholarship recipient of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (2019), Global INTEREST Research Group on Public Health (2019) and COPASAH, in conjunction with the People’s Health Movement India (2019), Centre for Population & Environment, Nigeria (2014), International Association for the Study of Sexuality in Society and Cultures, Peru (2013 & 2007), Geneva Health Forum (2012), Tertiary Education Trust Fund Nigeria (2012), West Africa Civil Society Institute Ghana (2011), UNICEF Egypt (2009), World Association for Sexual Health Sweden (2009) Population Council Kenya (2007) and African Regional Sexuality Resource Center Nigeria (2007)
