Biography
My research broadly focuses on social entrepreneurs’ inconsistent behaviour with their underlying convictions under specific conditions despite the mutually constitutive correlation between social mission and business purpose. Moreover, how contrary cognitions occur and increase the conviction of social entrepreneurs. Similarly, how inconsistency in the actions with beliefs creates psychological discomfort (dissonance). More specifically, my research uncovers the nature, consequences, and management of cognitive dissonance and tensions naturally inherent in the social and business paradox. I am investigating why latent social value is significant for sustainable development goals. It emphasises that value-driven entrepreneurs’ planned actions (entrepreneurial activity) and unintended results (social value) are just as stable as the character and structure of social entrepreneurship. The functional approach is more suitable for value-driven entrepreneurs in developing and underdeveloped countries—particularly in an environment of dire human needs. I am also investigating how coopetition in non-profit organisations can scale up their development efforts by focusing on economic value creation. The topics include competition for sustainability, innovative climate, and the impact on the performance of non-profit alliances. My work has been published in articles, book chapters, and several conference papers.
