Biography

Dr Tahir Mahmood earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the Georg August University Goettingen, Germany in 2018 and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the multidisciplinary KIP Project in the Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut in 2020. He has completed his MSc and MPhil from QAU Islamabad and Graduation from GC University Lahore. Currently, he works as an Assistant Professor-Economics, at the Faculty of Business Administration, Sukkur IBA University, Pakistan. Dr Tahir is a Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan-approved PhD supervisor. Before, joining SIBAU, he remained a faculty member at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, the University of Chitral, COMSATS Abbottabad and FG Quaid-E-Azam Degree College Rawalpindi. Dr. Tahir has almost ten years of teaching and research experience at national and international organizations and universities. During his Post-doctorate fellowship, he led the quantitative component of the KIP Project: developing an Indigenous Women's Economic Empowerment Index the so-called KIP Index for the MENA economies. Furthermore, he was a scientific researcher for one and half years in the Project “AgreeCareerNet: Georg August University, Goettingen”, where my duty was to design a course for master students entitled “Agribusiness in Asia”. Moreover, Dr Tahir has vast experience in using STATA at an advanced level and peer-reviewed publications in international journals. His research areas are Development Economics, Public Health, Behavioral Economics, Applied Micro econometrics and Health Economics.
