Biography

Aidan Ferguson has her BSW, MSW, and PhD in social work from Florida State University. Additionally, she has a Masters of Bioethics from Albany Medical College and a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from FSU. She has her LCSW in the State of Florida, where she is a qualified supervisor, as well as in Illinois. Her clinical background is in crisis intervention, intensive case management, and medical social work. She worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs at an Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach, FL for 5 years prior to returning to school for her PhD. Her current research interests are in nonmonosexual representation in research, opioid overdose prevention and substance abuse education, as well as understanding sexual assault experiences as they relate to higher education contexts. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and her four-legged son, Tater the beagle.
