Biography
Daniel S. Fernando, LPT, MASS, is currently serving as an Associate Professor I and Research Officer at St. Anthony’s College, located in San Angel, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique. He is a licensed professional teacher. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the school where he is now affiliated. He holds a master’s degree in Social Science from West Visayas State University. He is presently completing his Doctor of Philosophy in Social Science (Dissertation Writing) at the same institution in La Paz, Iloilo City. He has published nine research articles in reputable journals and has been cited 17 times, with an h-index of 2. His scholarly engagements include research advising, panel participation, mentoring, peer review, and presenting papers at national and international research conferences. His academic contributions have earned him multiple distinctions, including Best in Oral Presentation, Best Abstract, and Article Citation Awards at international conferences. He has also served as a judge and panel member in international research forums. His professional journey includes both faculty and administrative roles. He served as Senior High School Assistant Principal from September 2022 to June 2024 and as a full-time high school faculty member from 2017 to 2024 at St. Anthony’s College. In the latter part of 2024, he also taught in the Department of Liberal Arts. He is an active member of several academic and research organizations, including the Philippine Society for Educational Research and Evaluation, Inc. (PSERE), the International Society of Transdisciplinary Researchers, Educators, and Leaders, Inc. (ISTREL), the International Association of Scholarly, Publishers, Editors, and Reviewers (IASPER), and the Philippine Institute of 21st Century Educators Inc. Lastly, his research interests span social science, religion, education, and philosophy.
