Biography

Dr. Thirunahari Ugandhar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Botany at Govt. Degree College Mahabubabad, Mahabubabad, India. He earned his Doctorate Degree in Plant Tissue Culture and Genetic Transformation Genetics and Plant Breeding from Kakatiya University in 2002. Dr. T. Ugandhar has supervised 8 M.Phil students and has an extensive publication record, with 94 research articles in reputable National and International Journals, along with authoring or editing 6 books. He has completed 1 Minor Research Project funded by UGC SERO. His accolades include the Academy of Telangana State Best Teacher Award 2022, received on Dr. Sarvapally Radha Krishna’s Birthday, September 5th, 2022, presented by Home Minister Sri. Mahamad Ali, Education Minister Honorable Sabitha Indra Reddy, and Navin Mittal IAS Commissioner of Collegiate Education Telangana Government of India. He has also received the Outstanding Scientist Award at the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science and Medicine Ceremony in February 2021 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. In 2019, he was honored with the Outstanding Research Faculty Award at the International Level Faculty Awards Ceremony in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, and the Best Academician Award at the National Conference on Environment, Education, Humanities, Commerce, Science & Technology in Karnataka. Furthermore, Dr. Ugandhar received the Best Biotechnologist Award in 2015 from DERO (Deccan Environmental Research Organization) in Vijayapuri, Karnataka, and the Best Teacher in the field of Biotechnology Award in 2016 from the Global Society for Basic and Applied Sciences in Thane, Mumbai, India, in collaboration with SOWCOS Kathmandu. He was also awarded the Best Teacher in Botany Award in 2017 from the Commissioner of Collegiate Education Telangana Government of India and the Best Teacher in the field of Botany Award in 2019 at the international level from the Global Society for Basic and Applied Sciences in Thane, Mumbai, India, in collaboration with the Global Science Summit on Emerging Trends in Basic and Applied Sciences held in Dubai. Dr. T.Ugandhar is affiliated with several professional bodies, including the Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES), Society for Plant Biochemistry & Biotechnology, Society for Plant Physiology & Biochemistry, Indian Journal of Botanical Society, and the International Association of Research and Developed Organization. He has also served as a referee for scientific journals, an editorial board member of the European Journal of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Science, a reviewer for the International Journal of Pharma and Bio Science, an advisory member of the International Journal of Pharma and Bio Science, an editorial member on the board of Trends in Biotechnology Research, and an editorial member on the board of the Austrian Journal of Biotechnology and Bioengineering.
