Biography
H. S. Ravikumar Patil received his B.Sc. degree in Life Science (CBZ) from the University of Mysore in 1990, M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences from Kuvempu University in 1993, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Kuvempu University, Shimoga, India, in 2004 under the supervision of Professors S. Manjappa and E. T. Puttaiah. He began his career in Microbiology as Lecturer at SR Nagappa Shetty Memorial National College of Applied Sciences, Shimoga, and became Professor in 2007 in the Department of Biotechnology at G M Institute of Technology, Davangere, Karnataka. Currently, he serves as a Professor in the Department of Studies in Food Technology at Davangere University, Davanagere, Karnataka, India. He has published over 60 research papers in various national and international journals, presented papers at national and international conferences and symposia, and authored 3 books. He was awarded the Best Faculty Award for the academic year 2019. Additionally, he is Life Member of The Association of Microbiologists of India (AMI) and AFSTI, serving as the President of the Davangere Chapter, and is also a Life Member of the Red Cross, Davanagere. His research interests include Environmental Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Food Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, and Food Technology.
