Dr. Shuvasree Banerjee

Biography

Dr. Shuvasree Banerjee is an Assistant Professor currently working with Amity University, Mumbai. She is having over ten years of teaching experience in Tourism and Hotel Management Institutes. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tourism and Hospitality from Burdwan University, West Bengal, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Travel & Tourism Management from the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) Bhubaneswar, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Additionally, she has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Tourism and Hospitality from the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), Hyderabad, which is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. She pursued her PhD in Tourism and Hospitality at Chandigarh University and received her PhD degree on June 21, 2025. As an active research scholar, she has presented papers at ten international conferences from 2022 to 2024 and has 14 publications to their credit. Her scholarly contributions include 14 Scopus-indexed papers and book chapters. She reviewed 6 papers from the Journal of Destination Marketing and Management, Journal of Ethnic Foods 2 papers, 6 papers from PLOS One, 1 paper from Asian Journal of Tourism Research, 2 papers from Springer, 2 papers from Qualitative Research in Tourism Journal which are all Q1-Q2 rated journals in Scopus, and also 3 paper from Sage Journals. Alongside her academic career, she is a passionate travel blogger, documenting her travel experiences and insights from the destinations she visits.
