Biography

Researcher at National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management, with over 13 years' experience in research of evaporation and crop evapotranspiration in Romania, and of water balance analysis (focus on experimental and representative small basins). My current research focuses on the impact of climate change on water resources, the importance of evaporation and evapotranspiration on the water balance, the use of satellite products to improve hydrological analyses in experimental and representative basins. In recent years, the focus of research has been on the aquatic vegetation formed by reeds or water lilies, which can play an essential role in estimating the volume of water released into the atmosphere through evapotranspiration. Studies have been carried out on natural lakes, marshes, and deltaic areas in Romania.
