Dr. R.S. Umakanth

Biography

I am an Post-Graduate from the Department of Sericulture Science, UoM, Mysore worked in a Central Silk Board sponsored National Sericulture Project funded by World Bank under Prof.N.B.Krishnamurthy, Department of Zoology, Mysore for my Ph.D. Presently, I'm pursuing research on the Biochemical Genetics of Mulberry Silkworm & Mulberry Physiology as well. I am into qualitative and quantitative estimation of Proteins and hydrolyzing enzymes in the silkworm subjected to different feeding frequencies. In addition to research, teaching, I am involved in administrative positions like Special Officer, Nodal Officer, Director, Co-ordinator, etc.
