Dr. Odeyemi Adebisi Joshua

Biography

Dr. Adebisi Joshua Odeyemi is a Lecturer II in the Department of Animal Physiology, College of Animal Science and Livestock Production, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). He specialises in Reproductive Animal Physiology; Environmental Physiology; Endocrinology; Animal Breeding and Genetics; Animal Nutrition; and Forage Evaluation and Utilisation. He has published over 20 Journal articles, 2 monographs and 5 conferences papers. He conducts lectures, seminars, tutorials, laboratory demonstrations, and workshops for students. Attends conferences, workshops, seminars related to professional cirle in order to stay up-to-date with best practices. He assists with student assessment through examinations and coursework evaluations; provides guidance and support to students on academic matters. He facilitates discussions among students by posing thought-provoking questions related to course material. Dr. Odeyemi is actively involving in evaluation of student performance to ensure successful completion of courses. Manages administrative duties such as preparing reports of student grades or updating student information databases. Encourages active participation through discussions and debates. Collaborates with colleagues within and from other disciplines to develop innovative approaches to research and teaching courses. Participate actively in committees responsible for making decisions regarding departmental, college- wise and institutional policies and procedures. Advises students on course selection, career paths, and research opportunities. He demonstrates a commitment towards inclusive education by creating an environment conducive for all learners. Supports department leaders, managing ongoing strategic developments. He mentores graduate students in their thesis projects and dissertation writing processes. Utilizes technology-based tools such as virtual classrooms to facilitate instruction delivery. Drafts, analyses and publishes research papers and contributing to writing course validation. Dr. Odeyemi possesses good organisational skills, self-motivated, emotionally stable with good interpersonal relationships. Dynamic and knowledgeable professional with extensive experience teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses.
