Biography

As a professional with 15+ years of experience in higher education, I am excited about the future and the future of higher education. My research and work in higher education have always sought to establish access for all to higher education, contribute to a positive and collaborative environment for faculty, and foster an innovative approach to learning for all students. In addition to my current administrative role as the Department Head for Graduate Programs at Nathan M. Bisk College of Business at Florida Tech, I am also an Assistant Professor. As an instructor and administrator, I relate to faculty and administrators within the higher education environment, understanding challenges and nuances in a changing academic climate. I believe in creating a campus community beyond the front doors of the college that embodies a diverse community and supports student achievement and success, all of which are embraced by a unified faculty and administration. The only way that we can move forward in a positive and inclusive way is to foster a campus climate that embraces open discussions where all students are free to critically think and explore phenomena.
