Biography

Priya P is a highly accomplished and dynamic Visual Communication professional with a Ph.D. in Visual Communication and over three years of multidisciplinary expertise spanning academia, media production, and creative design. Her diverse background includes hands-on experience as an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication, an Assistant Director for the television show Vasool Vettai on Star Vijay, and a Sub Editor at Velicham TV. This combination of academic rigor and practical industry skills allows her to bring creativity, innovation, and impact to both classrooms and studios. Priya is adept at visual storytelling and highly skilled in various multimedia tools and production techniques, including photography, video editing, scriptwriting, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, and basic Maya & Blender for 3D texturing and modelling. She has practical expertise in teaching subjects like Film Studies, Advertising, Editing, and Journalism to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. A published researcher, Priya has 18 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 5 national and international conference presentations to her credit, along with 10patents. She is also a Script Writing World Record holder and a recipient of the இளம் சாதனையாளர் விருது (Young Achiever Award). She is fluent in Tamil and English.
