Biography

Biography Kalieva Eleukhan Toganbaevna graduated from Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (KazNPU) in 1992 with a major in History, Soviet Law, and Society (qualification – teacher of history, Soviet law, and society). From 1992 to 1996, she studied in the postgraduate program at KazNPU named after Abai, specializing in Domestic History (History of the Republic of Kazakhstan), code 07.00.02. From 1998 to 2006, she worked at the Department of History of Kazakhstan within the Faculty of Humanities. Since 2006, she has been working at the Department of General History of Abai KazNPU, where she continues her academic and teaching activities. In 1998, she successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled “Development of Kazakhstan in 1869 in the Ural and Turgai Regions.” In 2008, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the specialty “History.” Her total teaching experience is 31 years, all of which have been at Abai KazNPU. Eleukhan Toganbaevna Kalieva is a recognized expert in the field of historical education. She is the author of more than 70 scientific and methodological publications, including two textbooks on the history of Kazakhstan for grades 10–11 of secondary schools. Her research is regularly published in national and international scientific journals, including journals indexed by the RSCI, Higher Attestation Commission (HAC), Scopus, and Web of Science. Her educational, methodological, and research works are published in reputable national and international journals. E. T. Kalieva actively participates in professional and academic events at the republican, city, university, and departmental levels. She serves as an expert of educational programs in higher and postgraduate education under the National Center for the Development of Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and as an expert of the National Testing Center of the same ministry. For her contribution to the development of the university, Eleukhan Toganbaevna was awarded: the Jubilee Medal “90 Years of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University” (Order No. 603, dated 13.12.2018); and the Jubilee Medal “95 Years of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University” (Order No. 124, dated 27.10.2023). She has also received awards from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for her dedicated service and contributions to the field of education and history.
